Q. How do I find my textbooks?

Answer

The Library does not collect every textbook for every class, but we do have many. There are a several ways you can get textbooks from the library.

  • One option is Course Reserves.  This is a collection of textbooks and other printed course materials that your professors have loaned to the library. Your check-out period is limited to two hours, two days, or four days, depending on the professor and the book. You can pick up these items in the Reserve Book Room, which is located on the north side of the 2nd floor of library. You can also call 310-243-3717
  • The library also has a large collection of e-books, some of which are used by faculty members to teach classes. Check our list of free e-Textbooks.
  • Finally, sometimes you will get lucky and find the book your professor is using in our regular collection.  To see a list of books we have (including books and e-books), check in our catalog by title, author, or subject.
