Q. Where should I go to find Evidence-Based Practices (EBP)?
Systematic reviews usually focus on a specific clinical question and conduct a comprehensive literature search to identify studies with high-quality methods. The studies are reviewed, assessed, and then the results are summarized. In the following databases systematic review can be found in advanced search for publication type or methodology for "systematic review." Use these databases to find systematic reviews of evidence for topics such as treating a condition or intervening in a population:
Other helpful resources for clinical guidelines or programs that use evidence based practices are as follows:
- CA Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (database for example programs)
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSA) Registry (searchable database of EBP)
- US Department of Health and Human Services National Guideline Clearinghouse (list of clinical guidelines by topic)
